New Girl is hilarious but it’s also so wise and it’s the kind of stuff that influences you as you watch and rewatch over the years but you maybe don’t fully appreciate until you’re older and ready to understand the advice. I’m watching this scene and I love this metaphor of a suggestion box (unless he’s talking about a real one?) And it’s true, the older I get the less I care about what other people have to say about the way I live my life. It’s been a difficult lesson but a really precious one. I’ve been watching and rewatching New Girl since I was a teenager and I’m 28 now and I only really get a lot of this stuff now.
