I think the decision to add Coach to Jess’s work was such a smart move on the writers part. I feel like when they brought him back he was kind of struggling to stand out in the show and display his own character, and I think putting him in a space without the rest of the guy roommates really allowed him to shine and added a great layer to him and Jess’s relationship. Plus some of his lines in those scenes were so classic – “I’m not Coach Coach anymore. I’m just Coach 😔”
