I was reading posts from the Malcom in the middle sub and on a post talking about how realistic and non propaganda spreading that show was, someone commented comparing it to Modern Family, saying that Malcom was realistic instead of shows like MF, the replies are full of people agreeing with comments like “the people in modern family are rich, so why should we care about them?”, not liking everybody’s privilege in the show.
Personally, when i started watching modern family I recognized that they were rich but never mind it, it was even kinda nice to see how they could just enjoy life without too many struggles, that was actually refreshing for me, they were privileged but not annoying or too insensitive.
I do think there was a bit of american propaganda on the show, most of it weirdly put on Gloria’s character which always made me feel off, but overall those episodes are very few and forgettable.
Anyway, after reading those replies i thought it would be interesting to ask this in here.
