The office was way ahead of its time by having a female lead who didn’t look like a fake Barbie doll. I appreciate so much how they allowed Pam to fail, whereas in other shows, she’d be accomplishing everything. She doesn’t feel like she fits in as an artist or a salesman, but she kept going and stayed strong even if she was hurt or confused or alone.
Each person who hates this character hates her for the same reason she hates herself- she is flawed. People do not expect to see raw characters, nor do they want them. She is the truest form of everyone; she has insecurities, bad days, and gets stuck in the lifestyle she created, just like all of us.

“Pamela Beesly Halpert is my best friend” – such an underrated line.
