We used to have multiple strings of LED C6 Christmas lights that we decorated trees and shrubs, our gutters and porch roof with. One day I noticed a string was out, so I went to investigate, thinking a bulb was loose or had gone. Well a bulb had gone alright..wire chewed neatly either side of where the bulb should be.
I patched up the wiring and the next day the lights were off again…and so were several other strings. Checked them and they each had one or more bulbs missing… each time neatly chewed off either side of the bulb location.
Fixed what I could and the next day rolled around.. more strings off and this time even more bulbs missing… this time a number of bulbs just lying on the ground beneath where they had been chewed off.
After that it was game over… too many bulbs gone to fix and every day more and more bulbs succumbed to the furry electricians.
They never went after the incandescent bulbs though…always just the C6 shaped LED ones.
To this day I still sometimes dig up a bulb that they planted when I’m doing gardening.
Oh my thats funny! Are they decorating with them? WoW
Thats nuts!
They’re tired of reading by candlelight lol
Q: How many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: SQUIRREL!
Brace yourself OP. I can only imagine what those squirrels are planning. Good luck.
Try rubbing some peppermint oil on the bulbs. It won’t hurt the squirrels, they just don’t like how pungent the smell is.
The squirrels at my place are huge. Bigger than my cat and he’s fat. They constantly scream and of course hide nuts everywhere
Now you just have to worry what they’re building
The weirdest part of this post for me was the concept of lightbulbs on an umbrella … 😅😂
Do people put lightbulbs on umbrellas? Genuine question.
They probably expect you to pay their electric bill too, those little buttheads!
Think of what a beautiful little squirrel nest they are creating. Such ambiance 👌
Looks like he’s blowing a bubble with bubble gum
