This ran for at least 3-4 years in the early 90s, and it was always presented by Sears. Each commercial break featured a lengthy holiday-themed Sears commercial that usually promoted their Black Friday deals. (I remember a jingle that began with “Hey Santa”.)
This was well before cable networks began playing the movie every day for two straight months and it was actually a special occasion when your favorite Christmas movie was on TV.
To me, this was the official start of the Christmas season and I made a point to watch it every year.
