Netflix has announced the release date for Beef Season 2, as part of a larger press release for their original content going into 2026. Along with new information and images for new seasons of series like Avatar the Last Airbender and Bridgerton, it was revealed that the second season of Beef will be released on April 16, 2026. The anthology series will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, which is two less than the 10-episode first season. It’s been a little over three years since Season 1, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, premiered on Netflix, so it will be interesting to see how a second season performs following the long wait between new episodes.

The first season of Beef centered around two strangers who, after a brief road rage encounter, begin infiltrating and influencing each other’s personal lives in dangerous ways. It’s the idea of a small inciting incident followed by increasingly ridiculous situations that helped make Beef season 1 so engrossing, along with the incredible performances from the cast. Below is the official synopsis for the second season, along with details about the new cast members who will become the focus of the upcoming episodes:

Beef Season 2 will star Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny as a young couple working at a country club who witness an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, played by Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. Minari Oscar winner Yuh-Jung Youn and Parasite star Song Kang-ho round out the cast for this season, which will feature “chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.”

‘Beef’ Season 2 Will Maintain the Same Creative Team From Season 1

Although Steven Yeun and Ali Wong haven’t been confirmed to be returning as their characters, they are still attached as executive producers on the project. The actors will be joining Jake Schreier, Kitao Sakurai, Ethan Kuperberg and Anna Moench as EP’s, with Schreier having directed several episodes of the first season. The list of directors for the upcoming 8 episodes hasn’t been confirmed, so it’s hard to determine whether Schreier was involved in directing, especially since the filmmaker had been busy working on Thunderbolts* in 2025 and is currently developing an X-Men film for Marvel Studios.

Original creator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin developed the second season, which will help to maintain the creative vision of the series even without directors from the first season returning. A24 is also still a producing partner on the series, which adds a level of prestige to the streaming title that should get viewers interested in revisiting the show. With the premiere only a few months away, fans can expect marketing to ramp up with new images and more than likely a first trailer for the new season sooner rather than later. Netflix has an exciting year ahead of it, with plenty of new seasons for exciting series like Beef, as well as original films that should have subscribers looking forward to plenty of new content.
