I only recently watched through all of the show and this scene was one that stuck out to me.
It’s almost exactly how it went when I lost my own dad. We’d been going through a rough patch and finally had one good day together. He made ribs, we ate dinner as a family, and I got to watch him play some video games while we talked. Nothing fancy, but the next day he was gone. So it was really nice to be reminded of that last good day when I watched this episode the other night.
